Hi people, my name is Brian and I'm from eastern part of Asia. About a month and a half ago i was under a lot of stress and anxiety due to family issues. A few days after that, i ate something bad and couldn't sleep at all due to stomach pains. I had constant diarhea the whole night and I woke up the next day feeling tired, which is something that I wasn't surprised about because normally when one has diarhea, they feel tired. There were subtle stomach pains and reflux for about a week after but no symptons of fever and the fatigue stayed. I dont think this is stress/anxiety caused because it happened after the night of diarhea and I feel like if this was stress/anxiety caused, it would have happened prior to the night of diarhea. I have no aching but I have blurry vision, fatigue, hard to concentrate and dizziness. Dehydration can't last this long and my blood test for anemia came out fine. I'm worried for CFS because im only 17 years old, are there other things that can cause this?

    Hi Brian,

Sorry to hear you are suffering like this. Your doctor is the one to primarily discuss your concerns with. There is a usual waiting period of a few months before cfs is seen as causing symptoms and the gp can order blood tests to rule other things out.

Keep resting when you can as your body may need time to recover from whatever kicked off symptoms in the first place. It may not be cfs but, rest will benefit you anyway hopefully? And Be good to yourself .

    Best wishes

Morning bchu;  I think it is too early to say Yes or No......but you do need to discuss this with your GP/Primary Carer.....and keep at it if you don't improve???.....in the meantime, perhaps starting yourself on some Supplements/vitamins (go onto the web for what is recommended for CFS),  may help you get better sooner, for as many have found, that the Longer they take in starting treatment/resting for CFS the longer it takes to get better??...........and as you are still young, you have a good chance of getting better.......so give yourself some time, and "look" after yourself, and keep us informed on how you get on.............Bron

    Hello Brian,

If you have reflux, get checked for a hiatal hernia.  An abdominal CT scan would reveal this condition.  It is where the stomach protrudes through the diaphram.  It could affect the vagus nerve, which practically goes through your entire body.  Google hiatal hernia/vagus nerve syndrome.  A gastrointerologist can also do an endoscopy to check for a hernia.  I hope this helps!
