Detached retina cure?

Unfourtantly because of a really bad eye injury back in 2015 my retina detached and i did not get it treated in time hence i have very bad vision in the effected eye. There was a lot of scar tissue and i had to have silicone oil put in/have 2 opertations to hold my retina in place under the NHS.

My question is though how many years do you think it might be before stem cells or a chip is around to give me better eyesight in my bad eye? Apologies i understand this might be a difficult question to answer.
