Andrea, what is your fasting (first thing on the morning) glucose? What is your glucose two hours after you've eaten?

Have you had your a1c checked? Fasting blood work for glucose?

    Are you having symptoms?

      Thank you for your answer.

The question is not for me , it is for a relative.

The fasting glucose is usually between 110-120 but as I said , it was 3 times higher than usual(130,133,142) in the last 2 months.

I don't know the glucose 2 hours after eating and he didn't checked A1C. He will check soon.

Now he has a glucometer which measures his glucose level at home.

A fasting glucose above 100 is concerning. Healthy blood sugar is generally 80-100 when fasting.

If you're finding it's gone up recently, you might evaluate diet changes and look at any medications. Some medications can cause glucose levels to increase, so check side effects of any medications.
