Diagnose Help

Posted , 2 users are following.

Male, 25, 160lb.

I've been dealing with a lot of health issues since about 5 years now. The following are my symptoms:

Ear ringing (since childhood)

High fevers (During childhood only)

Fatigue

Dry mouth

Joint cracking and sometimes pain on left hip.

Head itching. A lot everyday.

Stomach issues (bloating, etc) (Have been manageable with diet)

Scary heart palpitations(sudden fast beats, skipping beats)

Frequent urination (Going every 30 mins)

Runny nose (every morning and clogged through the day)

Mental fogginess

Cold feet

I think It might be lyme disease since I used to be very outdoors during my high school years. But the head itching is not correlated to lyme disease. And since childhood my ears were always ringing and i used to get super high fevers. I moved to New York at the age of 16 from another country so unlikely that I had lyme disease since childhood.

I've been to a lot of doctors in the past 5 years including multiple rheumatologists, cardiologist, urologists, neurologists and none of them find any issues on my multiple blood tests that I've had. There's no signs of psoriasis on my scalp according to my dermatologist. Lyme disease tests are also negative.

Does this sound like an auto immune disease to you ? I don't know what I could possibly have and I have no other doctor to go to. All of the doctors that I go to just give me anti inflammatories and send me home. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

sorry to read of your health issues at such a young age. It sounds to me like a thyroid disease since some but not all of the symptoms are related to that. But that is generally fairly easy to diagnose with blood tests. Also could be chronic fatigue syndrome -not so easy to diagnose. I know my sister in law had quite a time with symptoms that were hypothyroidism but the doctors were not doing a thorough blood testing for that and took awhile until she finally got a correct diagnosis. Good luck/ it has to be very discouraging for you at this point

      Hi again

I did look thru all of your blood tests. You have had a thorough work up and everything is normal. Vit D level was 'low normal' . In autoimmune disease you can have quite low level of that . Mine have always been normal and I have 3 autoimmune illnesses

They did include a complete work up on thyroid disease. I was going to suggest an allergy specialist or dermatologist for your scalp itch but if nothing is visible on scalp then no diagnosis possible there

I am not a doctor so can't advise you in that regard. I can just say it took years for me to be diagnosed with certain conditions after symptoms. About 4 yrs before positive tests on RA

but that really was made positive with x rays of hands

I do hope you can find some answers--you might even have some luck with a low dose antidpression medication as that helped me years ago to get some symptom relief
