Diagnosed at 26

My son was diagnosed a few years ago.  He quit taking his eye drops for 5 months and his condition has gotten much worse.

Now his Left eye is in end stage.  And it says on the examination this for his left eye:

4+APD, and I wonder what this means.  I think it means there's irreversible damage and nothing we can do now for this eye.

For his right eye, it says no APD, and reactive and pupils equal and round.

I am wondering what APD means.  Also, he is now back on Xalatan 0.005%.  We are hoping this means he will be able to sustain his eyesight in right eye, until we can get the surgery.  We are in US and he has no health insurance.  I can help pay in a few months, but hope the eyedrops work.

He goes back for a follow-up in two weeks.  Also, the pressure in his left eye is at 33,

for his right eye, pressure is at 30.

30 and 33 should not be that bad yet at his age otherwise they would do something immediately instead of telling him to come back.

sorry to know this problem about your son. May God help your son and you all in the family. Try to read/ consult a Dr in USA named Doc Konrat (I hope spelling is alright) who may provide you good guidance. Wishing you the best.
