Not been too bad,ie liverble with, until a few moths ago, which has resuted in me using my left hand, for most things.
Some people swear by magnetic bands, but research shows no effect.
It is now affecting my lower arm,as well.
Has anybody got any thoughts/trusted and tried methods that they use.?
many thanks,
regards, Richard

I'm sure others will be along with their suggestions about what to do. This is really all I can say:
try to maintain range of motion by gently exercising affected joints daily. If you can, avoid taking pain medications (nsaids) for osteoarthritis as they actually interfere with cartilage regeneration. Okay for occasional use for other things, like a headache or whatever. Often warmth can provide at least as much pain relief as a pill, especially, I've found, for the hands and feet.
I have taken glucosamine (capsules, not tablets, and always with food) for many years, having been diagnosed with OA when I was 40, and now nearly 73. I take two doses of 1000 mg every day, except when I forget 😄 and I think it has helped. I know studies tend to say it doesn't help but I suspect the studies are short term and it is actually a long term treatment to help slow down the progression of OA. It is not a painkiller, but I think it may have helped me stay in reasonable shape all these years.
Tai chi and yoga can be helpful in maintaining strength and flexibility.
