Diagnosed with herpes 2 days ago, pain still unbearable.

Hi There, I'd been suffering for just under a week before I got diagnosed but the blisters only really appeared on Friday (3 days before I got diagnosed) The blisters are all over my front and backside, I am finding even with medication the pain when going to the toilet is unbearable. To 'go for a number 2' so to speak, I have to bite on a towel and then its so difficult to clean because of the pain and I am always covered in blood from the iritated sores. My doctor said it should start clearing up by the end of day one of taking acyclovir, i'm taking 200mg 5 times a day, but i've taken 12 tablets now over the course of 2 and a half days, i've got no signs of clear up and i'm in absolute agony, the only thing I have noticed is that I no longer have a headache or fever, i've also been given lidocaine which gave me relief on the first day but not so much afterwards. I've also been using sudocrem, pouring water over myself when i pee,  soaking in saltwater, i've also been trying to leave my underwear off as much as possible but its hard because this clear sticky liquid discharge oozes out of me... is that normal for anyone else because its been hard to find that anywhere else?

Basically, should I consider going back to the doctors? Or am I just going through the motions of a first time outbreak? AM I NORMAL?

The only thing that helped my sores was tea tree oil, if you get any make sure it is pure tea tree oil. It numbs it really well, although you may need to reapply several times a day, i usually do it 5 times a day, just dip the tea tree on a qtip and apply that way

Medicine didn't do anything to help me my first ob. If you don't get on the meds before the blisters form, it doesn't help in your first ob. None of my blisters bled and shockingly it didn't hurt me on my anus, just itched. You're doing all the right things. I have found putting baseline on the sores helped w the friction and reduced pain. Lidocain didn't do jack do jack for me either and used a tube in like two days. I used cold packs at night wrapped in paper towels. The discharge is normal, I had the same thing. That's your cervix infected and breaking put inside. I've had internal obs since and not have had that, but the first time you do. I had to wear panty liners, so I feel your pain. Try taking lysine supplements , 3000mlgs daily during your obs. I think it best to sit in a shallow warm bath to pee, as it hurts too much. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you have to just wait this out for the first ob. I think it was horrible for me for 3weeks.

So sorry you're going through this. Just no that there is an end to this and you will come to some sense of normalcy once again. Hang in there and don't be afraid to reach out

First let me say how sorry I am that you're going through this, I completely understand what you're going through, as well all do. Just know that there is an end to this. You will eventually get relief and the pain will subside. Herw are some things you can do to help w pain and the unbearable itching.

      1. Soak in as many warm baths as you can w Epsom salt. That was the only thing that took the pain and itch away.

      2. Take lysine supplements, 3000mlgs during obs and 1000mlgs daily when not broken out.

      3. Eat lots of pineapple daily or at least a large slice.

      4. If using the bathroom hurts, sit in a warm shallow bath where that part of your privates is covered and that will minimize the pain.

      5. Make sure all you do is rest as much as possible.

      6. Take 3xs the daily recommended dose of vitamin C and take the daily recommended dose of zinc daily.

      7. Stay clear of alcohol, caffeine and sweets during your obs and ALWAYS be careful how much nuts you eat.. It will throw of your lysine balance and you'll break out.

May I ask how do you know that your current bf didn't give it to you? Has he been tested? He may not know he is asymptomatic and passed it to you.
