    Hi toria,

Sorry to hear of all your struggles. It's so hard having to fight our way to proper care! Has any treatment been suggested for your osteoporosis? I assume this was diagnosed after a scan. Have you ever considered hrt, this offers protection for bones and the heart. This can be especially important if you go through menopause at a young age. I hope they have tested your Vit D and calcium levels as well as these need to be at an optimum level to support our bones. Certain types of exercises are also good if you have osteoporosis. I hope you can get some more answers after you have seen the allergist. Awful you have had to wait so long for this. Have you tried a good multivitamin? I know this is not a substitute for a balanced diet but may help to prevent deficiencies if you aren't able to eat much. Wishing you all the best,

i cant use hrt, as alot of people with osteoporosis say it doesnt help, all the medications are nasty and most wont touch, im getting all my vitamins checked but i seem to react to vitamins too grrrr, i more want things that cause it ruled out to be honest lovely, i think without a dexa scan alot of women may have it but havent been checked, it seems to happen to slimmer people more xx

Low estrogen can affect the density of bones but if you can't take hrt then that's obviously not an option for you. I would think getting vit D and Calcuim checked is a good starting point, if either aren't within range I would push to have your kidney function and parathyroid hormone levels looked at as well. I really hope the allergist can provide you with the help you so desperately need. Keep us updated,

    Hey Toria..

I'm sorry to hear, you are going through sooo... much in your life right now. If life were fair, then none of us would be on this site. Suffice it to say, life can sucker-punch us ALL in the gut, and then we have to figure out how to move forward in ONE piece, with our sanity intact. Having said that, I hope a POSITIVE & COMPREHENSIVE resolution(s) find you soon!! That being said, be well, my menopausal sistah.
