I am 11 years post meno and couldn't take the burning and urethra pain anymore and went to the clinic after being examined I was told everything looks okay just slightly inflamed but I could probably benefit from using some Premarin cream twice weekly ....lovely young doctor very sympathetic so I was glad to get the help ....now im nervous because i forgot to mention that in my last pap 2 years ago everything was great but they did find a tiny polyp at the opening of my cervix I have no issues with it I wouldn't even know it was there but now I'm wondering if it safe for me to use the cream or could this create another problem...I don't have a family doctor as of yet so this was a doctor at a walk in clinic...I am not sure what to do

The polyp must have been considered to not be a problem. If it's still there it would have been apparent during your most recent exam. Am assuming they gave you an internal exam if they told you about inflammation?
What country are you in? Can you not see a gynecologist regularly? I am in the US and it is allowable under my healthcare policy, though I do have a high co-pay. It's pretty obvious by reading these posts that menopausal issues and the treatments for them can get pretty complex. Seeing a different doc each time would unnerve me. Having faith & trust in your doctor is important.
Can you call this clinic and ask to speak with the doc who examined you? You mention not having a family doctor which to me means a GP. I have never seen a GP for a gynecological problem as I feel it's a specialty and have more faith in a specialist. Can you get to see one under your healthcare plan?

I am not a doctor so cannot advise you but can tell you about my experience. I have had ovarian cancer so complete hysterectomy and now suffer with vaginal atrophy. My doctor prescribed Premarin Vginal cream 0.625 mg. With directions to apply pea sized amt. vaginally every night for 2 weeks continue 2-3 times a week.
Don't know about the polyp other than be aware and check-ups to see if any changes.
Hope this helps. We are all in the same boat and have to try to help one another.
