Diagnosed with vulvodynia

Yesterday I was diagnosed with vulvodynia but I have to go see another doctor and hour away from me. My doctor prescribed me a compound cream for vulvodynia but I’m not sure what’s in it. I called the pharmacist but he told me it’s for nerve pain and inflammation. Have any of you heard of compound cream? Anyways I feel lost for words right now hoping that this is eventually go away. I had a bad flare up on Thursday and I still have this burning sensation. My vulvodynia I believe is generalized and unprovoked. Nothing I do I feel like helps me. Do any of you have any suggestions?

The cream is made by a compound pharmacy it’s expensive $90 it cost me but I’m willing to try anything at this point since I’ve been dealing with this for a year now. It’s a mixture of meds there’s three meds in it. I know there’s amitriptylene in it. Once I pick it up I will let you know. I know the burning feeling I have it always too

Oh wow this cream could be great me too interested what is the 3 meds. I have suffered this for coming 3 years so over it I have tried feels like a 1000 creams/methods etc. Only thing I find good for burning constant is wearing ice packs home and work. But I must say the last 2 months there has been a shift only getting burning twice a week and god knows why. You feel insane and obsessed with it..trying all sorts of things or what makes it worse. So me to be very keen to hear what's in it.. what's another cream lol

I haven’t tried it yet. I’m going to try it before I go to bed tonight just to make sure I don’t get any side effects right now. Not sure if you can get it in the UK. But, it’s made by a compound pharmacy. I needed a prescription to get this. Maybe talk to you’re doctor about it? I will keep you updated after using it for a week or two. I read online women who use this compound formula see results after 8 weeks of using it 2-4 times a day.
