Me again! Don't know what I'd do without you lovely peeps keeping me sane! I've woke up on this lovely sunny Tuesday morning with D 😞 I only ate bland food yesterday as I'm trying to implement the FODMAP diet, not a great incentive as a start to this new diet! I had cornflakes for breakfast rice cakes and banana for lunch and the remainders of a chicken roast from Sunday for tea! I had a few rich tea

Biscuits Inbetween and 2pieces of gluten free bread the milk I had in coffees was lactose free!! What am I doing wrong!?

My main ask for help today is that I am fed up of being housebound as I'm too scared to leave the house and not be near my loo!, I've already been twice today and both are

Diarreah consistency I know need to go again too so how do you lovely peeps who suffer like this carry on with your day? Xxxx

    Hi Flik.

When you are suffering from stomach problem especially diarhea. you need to work on your diet with diary. Diarhea occurs when your stomach is weaker and get more load from food. load means hard to get digested.

Try to follow this for 2 days, if you are comfortable do the same for 2 months to feel the difference.

    1. Add probiotics in your every food. especially after your lunch & dinner take yogurt.

    2. Eat rice & bread items.

    3. Ginger juice with little honey weekly once in empty stomach.

    4. Eat banana after break fast & lunch.

    5. Drink 3 nodes of garlic milk in every other day after dinner. this will help in removing the gas and its perfect antibiotic for respiratory problems.

    Avoid this below items

    1. Uncooked vegetables including sandwich / salad

    2. Avoid all fruits except banana, Apple & pommegrante

    3. Alcohol and any cool drinks. ( no cool liquid especially ), it increases the acid in your intestine.

    4. dont lie down after immediate food.

    5. No nuts / cereals. it gives more load to stomach.

    6. No non-veg.

These are easy items which anyone can follow, try for 2 days and keep us posted.

Hey, Awww thanks for your advice, I already take a probiotic in tablet form every day, have been for about a month now! The previous day I had banana Cooken veg chicken etc! I'm wondering if banana is a trigger in me! Rice I can tolerate, I thought we were to avoid garlic? Honestly I don't know what to eat for the best! Suppose it's trial and error!

      Thanks again😉

      Hi flik.

Ya I am learning from my grand mother. In India they use the proverb "food is medicine " if you see every part of body they have simple spicy food for solution I was amazed after seeing the result.

For example. If you get throat infection they just mix black pepper powder with very little salt and keep in tongue for 2 mins. Immediate relief from dry cough.

Anyway first time I wrote such a big solution for you hope you will try it.?

Hi Rhianna, Awww what spice would you recommend for Diarreah? I thought it was best to avoid spicy foods if you have a delicate stomach! But I am intrigued to know what you would recommend? Xx

Hi flik. Follow my first post in this thread. That should be fine. 😊

      Please please please note

You should never eat fruit after a meal - this can give you diarrea

Please refer to a book called fit for life - by diamond

Fruit quickly goes through your system where meat and all foods take hours so essentially the fruit quickly bypasses the good churns it up and it rots in your stomach.

I can't explain it as the book - but it was a life saver years ago when I had IBS.

I feel for you - also remember it Dan take 48 hours plus for your food to go from one end to the other so today's food will take a couple of days. Keep a diary of what you eat and see if there's a pattern

      Cheers

Try cutting out cornflakes and the biscuits and try Imodium so that you are able to go out without any problems.

Hey, Why cornflakes? I thought them Rice Krispies and porridge were FODMAP friendly? Oh man, I love my biscuitS! Haha! 😞 But yes I know these need to change! Xx

Maybe the cornflakes have gluten.  Sometimes the foods that are supposedly safe in the Fodmap diet are irritants to some people with IBS.  Biscuits may have dairy in them and if you have a problem with lactose, this could be a trigger for symptoms.

Hi Bob, I'm living off chicken and rice at the moment! It turned into a stomach bug so I've definitely had a clear out! Eek! Will see how I go! Xx

When we used to go abroad and get the skits checken and boiled rice was the favourite normalising food.

If you are really bad and stuck try a tablespoon of sugar and a teaspoon of salt in a pint of warm water, you may find that will help the skits. It replaces fluid and salt and settles the gut
