Diarrhea

I recently found out I had Barrett's esophagus. Was about a week and a half ago. Since then I have tried to change my lifestyle. Not eating 3 hours before bed. Cut out caffeine and chocolate. But since I made this change I have not been feeling well and have diarrhea ever since. I am worried. Thanks

Did you start on any medication for acid reduction? If so, maybe the problem is from the medication. If you consumed a lot of caffeine, I can see that the caffeine withdrawal could make you feel bad for a while, but I don't know about the diarrhea.

Good luck. I hope that you start feeling better soon.

I wouldn't worry about that, it is probably your body just adjusting, but definitely stick to the health diet and lifestyle changes it does help, difficult at first but becomes part of a new regime once you have "got your head around it" as they say.  I was diagnosed 4 years ago now and stick rigidly to a health diet regime and my body is used to it and feeling much better.

Good luck stick with it I'm sure it will help in the long run
