Diarrhea and Stomach cramps after every meal

Hello everyone, first time poster.

A month ago I got the stomach flu and was throwing up and Diarrhea for two days, since then the Nausea and vomiting is gone, but I am left with extreme Diarrhea, after every meal or snack with in 30 to 45 min I start getting cramps and have to rush to the bathroom, if you figure that you eat a meal or snack 3 to 6 times a day that's a lot of going to the bathroom, I was hoping someone else has dealt with this before and has some advice to help me out.

Thanks in advance.

Jeff

Sorry to hear that you are going through this, unfortunately that could be from any number of things.

But because I have motility issues myself I just wish you well.

It could be any number of things; see your doctor and ask about post infectious IBS to start with Also have your stools tested for h pylori. In the meantime try a food diary to see if any foods are causing diarrhoea.

    Hi Jeff

If it was gastroenteritis it often carries on longer than 2 days. Just drink plenty of weak friut juice and no food and see if it abates. If not see your doctor.

With gastroenteritis, I wouldn't take any fruit at all not even weak fruit juice to calm any diarrhoea.

Sorry, I just realised it was a month ago so unlikely to be gastroenteritis.

Your best bet is to consult a certified dietition or nutritionist for a proper diet. Snacks will not do.
