has anyone here had diarrhea from prednisolone withdrawal that hasn't been a flare up? been off of pred for 2 days now and ive started getting a bit of diarrhea/abdominal discomfort (read that these are both side effects of prednisolone withdrawal) - anyone else experience these and it didnt turn out to be a flare?

i had this problem, just watch out for blood, if blood returns then its a flare again. if i remember i was on pred for a while, came off it and got the craps and discomfort the cramps lasted longer but it wasnt a flare. i recommend taking it easy on what you eat and plenty of water

thanks shane, I haven't noticed any blood yet. I did see a tiny tiny bit of bloody mucus 4 days ago, rang my IBD nurse and she said that it could be from a fissure or something small and not to worry unless I saw blood for 3 days in a row.

My bowel movement today was still a bit diarrhea-y but it wasn't as bad as yesterday (wasn't quite as explosive and quite as sloppy looking) (sorry, very gross haha) but this gives me hope!!

Spoke to my IBD nurse regardless and she's told me to double my dose of Mezavant XL just in case it is a flare so I can avoid going into one over Christmas. I guess it won't do any harm to be on the double dose even if im not going into a flare and it is just withdrawal!
