has anyone taken 2mg diazepam when desperately needing it? i need something while I adjust my antidepressant dosage but only plan on taking it when I'm really struggling as I know its addictive. only been given 6 tablets. how did it make you feel?

I was given the same 3 days worth of 2mg - they did take the edge off the anxiety but I didn't use them all - this period of adjusting to anti depressants is so hard but we will get through it.

Thanks Debs. I have been on 20mg then 30mg lastly 40mg of Citalopram but the higher dose of 40mg doesn't seem to be agreeing with me. getting tingling and burning sensations all over my body so doc has told me to reduce back to 30mg and take a 7.5mg dose of mirtazapine at night to see if the combination helps more. they suggested diazepam for when the sensations are too much. did it make you feel mega sleepy or drowsy?

They didn't make me feel drowsy just chilled for a while. The effects u were having on 40mg are similar to what I experienced on 20mg n they have started to subside after 6 weeks. I'm taking 10mg of phenergan at nite n that is giving me sleep. Please try not to be fearful because the citalopram will work you just have to be patient and ride the storm. Have you taken it before??
