Hi there, ive been on 30mg Mirtazipine for around 9 months now but my Anxiety has been through the roof. I've got 2 diazepam that I've kept for emergencies and treat them like gold dust, ive read online that taking them together will cause a "moderate" interaction and im just wondering if anyone has experience with taking them both together as I'm really in a bad way and need some relief, any help would be appreciated, thanks!

i take both, the mirtz isnt touching my anxiety on its own. Ive had no major problems taking them together. Alittle more tired perhaps but nothing horrible.

Hi Dale, I am on Mirtazapine 22.5mgs plus Citalopram 40mgs and my GP has just prescribed me Diazepam 2mgs as I have terrible anxiety at the moment. Am not a doctor, but I believe it should be ok to take them together. If you're still unsure, I guess you could always speak to your local pharmacist. Good luck.

Hi I can’t tell you to take a medication but I can tell you that when I’m at my worst I do take a 2mg diazepam to take the edge off and it’s suits me

I’m withdrawing from mirtazapine which is a very hard thing to do

    Hiya

I was prescribed 2mg diazepam and 30mg mirtazapine to take in the evening, diazepam at six and mirtazapine at nine. Never again I woke in the night, I was so relaxed I couldn't swallow, very scarey.

I just take the mirt now my second week just feeling calm, but the real test is when I return to work, as that's where my anxiety started. My thoughts go out to everyone suffering with this horrible illness.

Hi,  I am on mirtrazapine but also pregablin  100mg (50mg am and pm)  for anxiety.  This has helped me loads.  It eases the symptoms of anxiety.  If you read up on it, it is used for anxiety.  It can be used long term.  Maybe you could ask your doctor for this.  It works pretty quickly too.  I felt better in a mater of days. Hope this helps.
