Anxiety can be tackled in other ways, usually by distraction, get invoved with a hobby or take regular excersise. If you drink alcohol then this will make things worse. Giving up caffeinne helped me too.

Latley when I have found it hard to sleep, whilst lying in bed I take one deep breath through your nose and hold it for 10 seconds, then gently exhale through your mouth, do it again as we often dont pay enough attention to our breathing, it carries oxygen to our brain and blood supply. I often find the next morning, if I think about it that I dont even remember finishing the second breath. Make sure you get plenty of quiet non stimulating time when your feeling a little stressed. Also make sure you use your bedroom just for sleep, or reading before sleep. I think you will be fine, if you have a sore back, spend $30 and go have a good massage, sometimes they can be a little rough but its really loosening up your muscles you may feel a little sore the next day but really it gives you instant releif. I love the head, neck and back massage myself. I have a chinese lady and she actually gets up on my back and works it, tell them if its too hard. Hope you find this helpful. I have suffered these drugs for a long time and always try to tell people try all other avenues first. Valium is a short term medicine, or should be, 2 weeks is fine. As puma stated it has a vey long half life, and there can even be traces of it in your system 6 months after using it. Depending on how much and how often you use it.
