Diazepam

Hi all,

I've been having insomnia for the passed months and really bad the passed few weeks. Couldn't fall asleep whatsoever and only sleep 0-3 hours/night for several weeks in a row. Due to the fear of not having enough sleep... and this makes me anxious instantly when I go to bed. I tried everything from mindfullness to yoga, relaxation.... . I couldn't take much more so I went to the GP.

Been prescribed Diazepam 5mg for 1 week because I really needed sleep.

-> Is it safe to go cold turkey after 1 week of 5mg /night Diazepam?

Thanks in advance!

Hi all, thanks for the responses!!

So I have done what the doctor said. I have taken 7 days of Diazepam 5mg 1x before bed.

Right now I have bought the A. Vogel Valerian Root pills. (306mg valerian root)

Is it safe to start it immediatly the night after the diazepam? Because it both has influence on the central nerve system, right? And Diazepam's half life is long I reckon...

    Thanks in advance!
