Diazepam elixir

Does everyone know that diazepam comes in liquid form, doctors must do. Guidelines state to drop at the patients pace and when they are ready. But if you drop 10% from say 10mg to 9 mg ><10% of 9 mg would not be another 1mg it's .9 this where the liquid comes in useful as its easier to be more accurate. of="" 9="" mg="" would="" not="" be="" another="" 1mg="" it's="" .9="" this="" where="" the="" liquid="" comes="" in="" useful="" as="" its="" easier="" to="" be="" more="" accurate.="">

Doctors are  very reluctant to prescribe liquid as it much more expensive.

It is worth asking if you can have it. It certainly makes tapering easier in getting the right small dose.

Dont forget to also get some syringes.

      Hi tootsie58

Yes I have it in use today. Syringes are about 60p if you have to buy them from a pharmacy, 10p as I get them wholesale. You could also use one from somebody with a child who has used calpol or ibuprofen liquids. I've often seen a collection in cutlery drawers or medicine cabinets.

I am so pleased to get some support from this sort of debate. There are so many people and I do know from experience they don't know what they are taking or giving to others.

Nursing homes for instance if someone is asleep they may just omit the dose. That poor person is in withdrawal until the next drugs round! There must be some sort of government legislation put in place. Does anyone know of a person who can put things into context if I do rough notes. Maybe somebody with a legal background? There must be people with a medical backgrounds who have or have had addictions. I will be posting another drug when time permits it interacts with diazepam so in the next day or so!

      Thanks
