Hello ladies. my son called today and said he has covid. I was with him for the past 2 days. He is showing symptoms but not severe thank God. Curious to know if anyone had it and how you felt fighting menopause symptoms and covid combined together. I am alittle concerned.

Just got over it after 2 weeks. It started with scratchy throat, fatigue then fever 101, headache around eyes day 3. Day 4 coughing stuffy nose. Day 7 no smell or taste for 5 days. The rest of the time fatigue coughing, stuffy nose. To be honest I felt so crappy that I didn't even think about the perimenopause symptoms. Just laid in the bed for days.

Hi Beth thank you for your reply. This is day 4 and let me tell you this is not fun. The fatigue, night sweats, chills and headaches are leaving me speechless. I have zero appatite , no taste and smell. I am praying for the day this ends. All i can do is stay hydrated and rest. Glad to know that your feeling better.

Thank you, it gets better, it's just so strange. Sometimes I felt better, then the next day crap again. I'm going to work out tomorrow for the first time in 2 weeks. Gonna take it slow. The loss of taste really got to me.I kept thinking it was gonna be permanent lol. Hope you feel better soon.

I hate to tell you guys this, but I'm going on 2 1/2 weeks and still have a headache, stopped up and tired. I had Covid when it first came out and it only lasted maybe 5 days. This is way worse.

Beth so sorry to hear that you are still struggling with this omicron . This is brutal. Day 7 for me the fatigue, no appetite, loss of taste, headache when i cough and still getting chills and night sweats. This morning i cried because how much can i endure. From menopause to now this. A friend said to give it 2 weeks because i am older. Wishing you ladies all the best.

i can honestly say its not because we are older, i think the fluctuating hormones make it worse, my partners aunt had it, she is twenty plus years older than me and she was ok in a few days xx

Yeah, I understand, it's pretty irritating. Hang in there. I still don't have a good taste or smell. My hairdresser told me yesterday she had it in August and her smell and taste are still not the same. It's a very odd virus. Sending virtual hugs.

I'm late to this post but Yes, I had covid and my main symptoms was just severely depressed and the fatigue was insane!I quarantine and although I was dog tired, I cooked and cleaned everyday as I was trying to keep my husband going who slept like a bear day and night for almost 9 days straight. Like someone said, I was so tired that I didn't think about menopause symptoms during that time. I wouldn't wish covid or menopause on anybody. I pray for all of us menopause ladies daily.
