Did it happen to anyone else???

Hello all...

I have cyst and I have pain sometimes its sharp and sometimes very crapmy like mensutral pain. I am just done with my mensutral periods, today is 7th day. I usually have bleeding for only 4 days, but this time pain is horrible and even today I see discharge... I have pelvic, abdominal, back pain and too much pressure in rectum that I feel like passing bowels all the time. This is the first time I see something like this so iam little worried. My gynec is out station. Is this normal?

    Do you know the size of your cyst? I had a large 16cm one and cluster of five 4cm cysts on my other ovary. I notice about 3 months before my operation to remove them, I had longer periods. I'm usually 3/4 days but had them for around 10 days. It constantly felt like I needed to go to the toilet which is like the pressure on the rectum you describe.

    I was told by the specialist that this is common and the best thing to do is take painkillers and try to avoid using tampons as it can make the ache/pressure more painful. I also used a hot water bottle which eased the pain.

    Do you have a date to have the cyst removed?

      Hi Megg,

      Thanks for your concern. I have no idea about my cyst how big it is and what kind it is. I didn't get a chance to discuss about the ultrasound results with my gynec. She is not here now. Trying to meet any other gynec for a 2nd opinion. Hopefully I will get an appointment soon smile

    hi i had a dermoid tumor which as about the size of a grapefruit removed (benign)3ys ago,it as torsion 3 times around my right ovary,same pain as your gettng,use heat pad and pain killers but please get  scan done ,i was told it was IBS ,surgeon didnt  relise how bad and what it was until he operated,dont be fobbed off,its your body,hope u get it sorted and wish you well, it will be ok dont worry,tc mags xx

      Hi margaret,

      Thanks for your concern. Yesterday I went ER and they told to see my gynec for followup. She is out of country now. So I am waiting for her to come back and I will get to know more information about my cyst. I will let her kniw all my symptoms and pain I am going through. Thanks smile
