Did it ever go away for anyone? I heard it can take weeks ... months ... years ... I am interested to know if your tinnitus ever stopped and how? I am also wondering if you ever knew the cause of your tinnitus. Interested to hear your experience!! Thank you

I heard stories on the internet that tinnitus can go away. It can take weeks, 6 months, a few years. I don't know anyone personally who has tinnitus but it is a terrible symptom to have.

very rarely, unfortunately. Most people are stuck with it once it arrives.

That wasn't very positive. I have hope that we all get better soon. same goes for me

It wasn't meant in a bad way, Fireblue. Sorry you took it that way. But most people with T know that there isn't yet a cure for this, and the best we can do is reprogramme ourselves to live with this unwanted guest, and try our best not to let it overtake our lives. For sanity's sake! x

But, having said that, there are a very small number of people who do get it for a short time. Maybe they are lucky enough not to have damaged their ears as much as the rest of us, and have been given a second chance.

I have had it for close to 30 years, so know it is with me for good.

Does anyone think it is all in your head?

Well in a way, it is, Zune! smile

From what i have read, it is caused by the brain sending out the wrong signals to the ears.

But in a sense that it can be imagined - no. It's definitely a real thing. x
