Hi June I'm sorry to hear about you weight gain and you diagnoses. I am following the recommendations of Professor George Jelinek. It is not easy, but I have lost 7lbs in 1 week. A sample of my day is a slice of Burgen bread with a small scrape of fruit jam low sugar, with a cup of tea, at 11 ish I have grapes, strawberries, lunch is a big bowl of vegetable home made soup, with a large handful of sunflower seeds, at 3ish I have a banana, dinner is pasta with mushroom, onion & a tomato sauce. I try and drink at least 5 large glasses of sugar free diluting juice a day. There is a lot of fish, which I don't like but I am trying different dishes to get use to it. It maybe worth your while to read the book " overcoming Multiple Sclerosis an evidence based guide to recovery by Professor George Jelinek. It is interesting reading.

Hi Amanda,  many thanks for your comments, will certainly have a look at the book you mention.  I am not a very good cook and you mention home made vegetable soup, any chance you could let me have your recipe and instructions how to make it so I could give it a try.  Many thanks.

Hi June, I am not a great cook either. I bought a slow cooker, which if you don't have I would advise you to buy one it's great.. I made a lovely chicken dish the other night, I bought free range chicken cut it into small pieces, I bought chopped frozen onion from Iceland and Morrison's cartons of tomato, with garlic or basil. I just put it all in the slow cooker and went to work when I came home it was cooked. I boiled gluten free pasta for  say 10 mins then just added it to the slow cokker and mixed it all together and  served it. So easy.

Soup is even easier. I buy the mixed bags of carrot and turnip (already peeled and cut) you can get them in Asda & Morrisons I think they are £1.00 each. You can also get a soup mix bag that has onions in it too, but I feel when it is frozen the onions do not taste good when heated again. Buy dry parsley it will last you for ages.  Get a pot put in water with a knorr vegetable stock cube add the veg and about a Tea spoon of parsley and put it onto boil, just add low salt and pepper. Once the veg is soft your done. I sometimes use a hand blender to just mix it all together or just leave it as is. Also chicken and rice noodle soup is lovely, again you will get fresh noddles (white) from the veg section in Asda or Morrison's, knorr chicken stock cube in a pot with water put the noodles in and just add small strips of ready  cooked chicken, some salt and pepper and in 15 minutes you have a lovely soup. Both are really filling and good for you. Also try Burgen bread it takes a while to get use to it but it is really nice and made from sunflower seeds. I hope this helps you, and let me know how you get on. 😄 you will be fine.
