Dietician or nutritional therapist

Hi

I've been diagnosed with diverticulitis and duodenitus from an endoscopy and colonoscopy.

My issues are that i am still getting regular stomach flare ups, am eating a restricted diet and I have lost weight over a period of time.

My GP referred me to a dietician but am only getting 15 mins every 2 months and it's just not enough time I feel. They have prescribed me some high calorie drinks.

So I would like to pay for further professional advice and am unsure whether to go to a dietician or nutritional therapist. Both say they help with diverticulitis. I have sourced one of each through a lot of research and even had a free consultation with a N.T. They were very knowledgeable I thought. I am aware that the dieticians are more regulated. Which one to choose? I mainly want to get back on a better diet that limits flare ups, and put on a bit of weight.

thanks P

I used a medical nutritionist. I have been pain free for over a year. Rare to find most just have a masters degree.
