dieting with PCOS

Hello, my name is Kirsty i am 20 years of age. I was yesterday diagnosed with PCOS. I am over weight (not drastically) and was advised that losing weight would be a good choice for me i have previously trued but not stuck to a diet, maybe this is the push i need. I was wondering if any ladies in the same situation as me has any advise about which diet is best? rolleyes

    Hi kirsty sorry to here u have pcos i was also diagnosed with pcos in September last year GP gave me leaflets about it which recommend u try to avoid or cut down on carbs potatoes white rice pasta and bread swap them for wheat options brown rice brown bread etc and also to avoid sweet things i know it's boring but needs must i have been doing it since September and lost 4 stone and it also says to keep active hope this helps

    Hello Kelly, that helps a lot! And brilliant to hear you have lost all that weight I'm sure you look great for it. I was thinking a low carb diet but wanted a second opinion! Thanks again & sorry to hear you also have pcos.
