Different brand of Sertraline but feeling worse?!

Hi all,
About 5 weeks ago I began on 50mg Sertraline, I believe the brand was Milpharm. About 3-4 weeks in I began feeling much better. I then had a conversation with my GP 4 weeks in and she recommended increasing the dose to 75mg a day. As I had run out of my 1 month supply by that point, I was given 2 months worth of sertraline from my GP. The pharmacy gave it to me, but I noticed that it was a different brand (Medreich). I thought nothing of it, because surely it must all be the same?
I've been on the higher dose (75mg) on the new brand for around 2 weeks now, but I have to say that my anxiety symptoms are nowhere near as stable as when I was feeling good on the 50mg 4 weeks in. I have night sweats, I'm more irritable, and I have an elevated heart rate at around 4am in the morning for no discernible reason. I'm much more sensitive also. Overall, I'd say I feel like I've taken a step backwards, which is infuriating seeing the progress I made 4 weeks in on the 50mg.
My question therefore is whether this is to do with A) the increase in Sertraline dose or B) The change of brand? If it could be the change of brand, do I go back to my previous brand or do I just stick with the new one from here on in? If it's the former, how long should I have to wait before things get better on the higher 75mg dose?
Thanks 😃

it is disheartening i am sure. I started on 25 and felt better after about a week so i made a decision to not up mine. 4 weeks now and i feel better each day. I cant tell you what to do, but if it was me i would go back to 50 and try to get original med. When a person like us with anxiety has tonchange brands our anxiety increases and usually does not work too good. Good luck it will get better.
