Different dose of capsules making me depressed?

I have been taking 75 mg venlafaxine Retard and a quarter for 15 years now. I know that’s strange but it seemed to be the dose that worked for me and I’d just open a capsule and split it in four, then put one quarter in with the 75mg capsule.

But now the 75 mg are not in stock anymore at any local pharmacy. So I got the 37,5. I have to take two and a half of them to get the same result I got from one and a quarter. But now I feel so depressed and different. Not like myself at all. Though my doctor says it should be the same, I can’t help but wonder if this IS a different dose. That maybe dividing a capsule of 75 mg into 4 is different then dividing one of 37,5 into two, especially since its a Retard. Has anybody experienced this before or have any insight into this? I kinda feel like I’m losing my mind.

I take it at noon and weirdly I always feel better in the evening. I don’t know if that says anything.
