Has anyone noticed a difference in symptoms when changing their generic brand of Sertraline? I was on 50mg for 18 months and never noticed a difference but since i have had my prescription upped to 100mg i have!? For the first 5 weeks of the increase i was taking Ranbaxy, now been switched to Accord and my anxiety seems to have gone off the scale since switching 7 days ago. i have also had a sore throat since the change and the night sweats have returned. Has anyone else experienced this? xx

Hi Gayle, yes each time i switched brands my anxiety flared up! If you research it, many patients mention it, tho docs are apparently unlikely to recognise it! i got to dread picking up my prescription as it always changed! some continuity would be nice! ask your doc if they will stipulate the same brand each time.

Hi Julie, thanks for replying! Did your symptoms wear off after a while? I was on Ranbaxy and was starting to feel good, but have been given Accord this time. I am 8 days in and the side effects are as bad as when I first started. Anxiety is through the roof, night sweats and day sweats, sore thoat, shaking and many more lol
