Difficulty getting your bloods done? Half-hour slots don't cut it.

Half-hour blood test sessions at my g.p's don't seem to be enough in my opinion. I have been trying to get my bloods done since my v.p appointment at the beginning of November. All sessions are 11.00 - 11.30, making it extra difficult for working people. I've tried going and the surgery is full, mainly people waiting for the nurse to do bloods, which is clearly impossible in half an hour. Aside from my personal difficulty, delays in getting blood tests done will of course have a knock-on effect in terms of diagnosis and treatment for many people. What can be done about this? All ideas welcome.

Hello Jill, we have booked appts at our Surgery and if that doesn't suit me, I take my form to the Phlebotomy dept at the hospital

Thanks for your response. I'll see if I can get form from my G.P & find out where to go at the local hospital.
