I think if you are a chronic worried, that could be a factor why you can't go back to sleep. Many people who has insomnia are someone that have identified with social anxiety disorder. Because the moment you thnink of unhelpful stuffs in your head your body became tense and stressed out. Sleeping is the time of relaxing, so you should relax your body as well as your mind. Clear your head and think of something peaceful and calm. You can eat some sweets, like biscuits and milk. because sugar has that sedative that can make your mind calm. I just discovered the herb ANISE.

I chew a few of the seed at night and they bring on a restful night sleep.

My nearby farmers market sell them in the spice section. It's wonderful how it induces sleep, at least for me Anise does.

Anise is natural and your blood sugar won't drop and wake you up like sugar may do.

Take a few slow deep breaths and tell yourself that YOU are guided and protected before going to sleep.

Know that the statement is true.

Tell the things you worry about you'll see them in the morning, that is if you really want to worry.

Worry is a form of negative praying.
