I was lucky in the respect that I was working as a field service engineer for a computer hardware company, when I was unable to do that job I was able to work from home supporting customers by phone and dialling into their computers, if the job could not be done that way i arranged for an engineer to be sent out. Even with that situation since having had the first hip done, the deterioration waiting for the second to be done I am unable to do a full days work, so I have had to cut down my hours of work to part time. If I had to travel to get to work it would not be practical.

The only skills that can be done from home effectively are related to computer operations or office work,

The problem is a lot of potential employers are reluctant to take on people working away from the office as they do not know and trust them, but I wish anybody the best of luck who wants to try.
