Digestive enzymes

I've posted previously about acid reflux (which is still ongoing - awaiting an endoscopy) and today I received post from a major vitamin supplier which included digestive enzymes which has got me reading up about them. Some say you shouldn't take them without consulting the doctor and others say they can help digestive issues, excessive wind, bloating, perimenopause symptoms. I'm desperate to try anything. Has anyone had an experience of taking these? Thanks

    Hi Katie19990

I take 2 activated Charcoal capsules daily and did not consult a doctor, but I don't take any other meds, only supplements. I think it does help me with wind and bloating.

What a journey this is eh?

    Hi Katie

yes ive still got this on going acid reflux issue! it's been 4 years! I had endoscopy all fine, also colonscopy endless tests! sick of this. My acid reflux was manageable as I take a probiotic and have cut out various foods. I recently took omega 3 and goodness it flared up to the point I was back on my antiacids after 3 years! I only took them for a week as I don't want to reply on them. My stomach is so bloated and was painful last week that I had to take buscopan and gaviscon! Right now I feel like someone is choking me as my throat is sore....so sick of this. My acid relux is fizzing away in my throat! I look pregnant too with a sore bloated tummy. All started when I started going through perimenopause. Also stress is a big trigger for digestive issues. Mines is work and perimenopause stress.
