Digestive problems

So I have been suffering with bloody stools, bloating, excessive gas, and bad stomach pains... Been going on for approx 3 months with bloody stools, but had problems with stomach pains and things on and off for like years! I had my calprotectein levels tested and came back as 783. As the doctor thought it was ulcerative colitis I had a sigmiodoscopy done. Nothing was found and my biopsies were mostly normal, other than a couple showing low levels of inflammation. I still have all the symptoms and am waiting for a follow up appointment. Doc made it sound like there's nothing wrong, so not sure where to go from this now. Anyone been in a similar situation? Thanks.

It’s been about 6 months since my flair up that just doesn’t settle down.  Has anyone been successful with diets, food restrictions or additions. I’m out of the country but will have a telephone conference call with my dr. Next week when I get home ...I’ve got to try different medications and find some relief.  The diaherra and bloody stools are exhausting!

    thanks for anyones input.

Have you thought about the raw vegan diet. I’m reading self healing Colitis and chrones and there is a specific raw vegan diet in there for UC and Chrones. I haven’t tried it tho so don’t know how effective it is.

Sorry to hear you’re going through this. Perhaps you need a second opinion - the calprotectien levels are very high.

Hope you get this sorted soon.
