Diltazem itching

Can anybody help. Ive been fissure free for 8 months but for the last 5 weeks i've been suffering again. The pain has subsided but the diltazem has caused itching. I'd used this before without this awful itch. Do i stop applying it or continue? Im sering my consultant in 2 weeks. Any advice most welcome please.

    I can’t see you being allergic to it as you’ve used it before 

    Anything else you ha d used ?

    I had the same when I put tea tree in my sitz bath 

    I used hydrocortisone cream from the chemist it stopped the itch

      Thanks. I have read that some who use diltizem often start to get the itch after using it after sometime. Today i used epsom salts and sudocream which really helps folks. The diltazem is confusing as the consultant recommended using this for 6 weeks twice a day to fully heal. Whats yours and others experience of using this. Is it ok to stop after say 1 or 2 weeks if the actual pain after bw has gone? Thanks
