diltiazem hydrochloride...

hi everyone

i was prescribed diltiazem hydrochloride for a fissure end of dec, this worked well but u fortunately i now have another small but sore tear. the cream i have went 'out of date' end of march. Does anyone have any experience with using cream just 2 months out of date?

    The cream hasn't gone "bad" but it may have lost a little bit of its potency. I would ask your doctor for a refill or new prescription for it, just to make sure you are getting the full potency. Explain that you have a new tear!

      thanks, i was hoping i wouldnt have to do that. they dont like to prescribe it as its quite expensive and it feels like i almost have to beg for it

      Be a strong advocate for your own health. You deserve the best medical treatment that you can get. If your doctor tells you that the cream that you have has not lost any potency and you trust your doctor then use it. Otherwise be insistent that you need a full potency cream to deal with your tear.

    I always use the medicate, when it expired. You can still use it, it still good for fissures. good luck and good health
