Disappointed :o(

After 3 weeks I have only lost 6lbs. Wouldn't you have lost that on a normal diet? I can't help but be a bit disappointed. I feel a bit flat as I stuck rigidly to a 1500 cal and 30gram fat intake per day. Is it normal to have only lost 2lb per week?

Thats a good amount to loose in 3 weeks you shouldnt be disapointed, there are plenty of people who loose only 1lb a week or stay the same some weeks despite massive efforts, just think better off than on!

I assume you tried to diet without the pills before being put on these? Most people on these lack the willpower to say 'no' to the naughty foods so these help by disciplining us so we know whats good and because we stick to it we see the positive effects like lb and inch loss smile

    That's a good weight loss.

These pills help but are by no means a miracle cure.

I do a daily weigh in and log it on a spreadsheet. I actually weigh myself in Kg and I think it is better for monitoring weight loss, for me any way. My scales have Kg and 2 decimal points so a loss (or gain) of 10g shows which doesn't if I set the scales to stone.

On average I loose ............. well on the spreadsheet it is 1.5Lb a week, but in reality I either loose 2.5Lb or nothing, or I gain 1/2Lb.

I have noticed that my body changes in the weeks I don't loose.

The main thing is that you are loosing weight. If you want it to go quicker you could cut the calories a bit more. I look at this as a change for life, the weight coming off slowly means I am eating close to the way I will when I am no longer on the pills. The weight went on slowly and it is coming off the same way.

Oh my goodness, dont be disappointed in yourself for anything, you have lost, and thats the aim, so congratulations you have nearly reached half a stone. i have too been taking orlistat for 3 weeks and i have lost 7 pounds, which i am very pleased with. i have lost an inch from my arms and 2inches from my waist. besides if it comes off at a healthy pace, then it is more tyhan likely to last, unlike some faddy diet! be proud of your hard work it is paying off. treen.
