Disc fusion maybe?

I was in a crash 2010 which was the start of my pain my disc was bulging and on my recent MRI it has now gone so I am being referred for surgery due to trying everything else.

I was happy at first and now I am starting to worry bout the operation I see so many have had issues after this but surgeon says the success rate is in the 70/80%.

I am annoyed I didn't ask the name of what it is to have the disc disappear so I could look up the surgery I guess this may be fusion?

    Cervical, thoracic or lumbar?  Which vertebrae?  What was the diagnosis?  What is the intended procedure?
