I was just diagnosed with LS this week and am very discouraged with what I have found out through research. My husband and I have a very active sex life. Please tell me that there is someone out there with LS that still has an active sex life!

I am only 2 years in and I am 35. I still have an active sex life. My doctor told me keep having sex. Coconut oil has been a life saver. It is a great lubricant and has prevent any tears so far. Don't lose hope.

I was diagnosed at 62, more than a year into my relationship with my now-husband, and married last summer at 63. Like you, we also have a very active and satisfying sex life :-) There are periods when accomodation is required (we're creative!), but for the most part, topical steroid ointment plus coconut oil (which has worked awsomely as a lubricant, as well as a soothing moisturizer) have kept my LS under good control. For fusing, I have had good results with occasional application of borax solution. But everyone finds their best combo, and you will too. Really!

I do!! But there are times we just can't. Use lots of lubricant!
