Discovered blood in my semen!! Should I be worried?

Posted , 4 users are following.

I noticed this in the last few weeks and initially it's worrying. I've googled here and there and not sure what to make of it. (Hematospermia)

Has anyone here experienced this before?

    Good morning

Most of the time if you have blood in the semen you have a infection. You need to see a doctor and find out what is going on....

    Take care...Ken

    Hi Bennyboy,

Whether it's bright red or brownish, blood in the semen should not be ignored. In a young person, one of the commonest causes is an infection-whether UTI, gonorrhoea or chlamydia. Another (benign) cause is a small burst blood vessel, but this diagnosis can only be arrived at once other causes have been excluded. Best to see your doctor to get this problem checked out.

Have you even looked into the issue?

I have and most situations like this it goes away on its own. And it has. It sounds bad because it's blood but please do your research instead of trying to scare me

I'm a MA in a urologist office.. i can assure you blood coming out of your penis via urine and or sperm is 10000000% NOT normal. I am just letting you know so you get checked. It might not be a std it could be a urology problem, prostate etc.
