How fast does DISH progress?

What bothers DISH the most in terms of everyday life style?

I know what helps DISH but not the other, any ideas?

How fast does DISH progress? I think that depends on a person's system. Mine, according to my doctor, has not put me in a wheelchair as quickly as it has some. I believe that is due to the fact that I push myself to keep going, even though the pain is severe at times. I refuse to give in to it and let it rule my life. And what "bothers" it the most in terms of everyday life style, depends a lot on the weather, and the activities of the day. My understanding is that I can't make it worse by my activities. In fact, the doctor tells me the more I use my body, the longer I may have mobility. My neck is fused in a forward position with no movement from side to side. The Ortho surgeon can do nothing about it. Same with my hips, knees, and other parts. But, I keep moving. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info! May I ask your age, mine is 57.

My job requires me to twist and turn constantly, and I am eligible to retire, so wondering if that issue makes it worse? My doctor is thinking about injections, it is effecting my throat also, so real question is, if I retire does DISH slow down because I'm not working or does working make it worse, or it doesn't matter, would not like to take injections just to keep working but maybe it doesn't matter?

Hope this all make sense. I do spine exercises for 30 minutes.

You're welcome. I was 71 last November. Have you researched to understand just how DISH works on the muscles, tendons, and ligaments, as well as build up in the joints? For me, understanding how the tendrils of calcium shoot into these areas and build up, gave me a direction. I have found, for me, if I slow down at all, I really start to seize up. So, for me, the more I keep going, the longer I stay loose. As for injections, what kind and where do they suggest putting them? The more you know, the more you can direct your own health decisions, and understand what's going on, which I've found very beneficial. Any exercise you can do, no matter the pain, will benefit you. The pain with DISH, at least for me, is not damaging anything. Arthritis hurts, let's face it, and it's been proven that exercise for arthritis is good. Hang in there... Hope this helps and if I didn't answer your questions, ask again, Rick I have not had injections.
