Dislocated knee pain and swollen foot

Hello everyone

I've been having issues with my knees since I was a child. My knee cap keeps dislocating on a regular basis. Usually it goes back in place immediately after and it hurts for a few hours and then all is fine again. This time however the pain persists. It's been almost 3 weeks and I can not walk properly yet. Every time I put weight on the leg, for example while going up and down the stairs, I feel pain and this weird sensation above and behind my knee like something is too tight and restricting my movement. And the leg doesn't feel strong enough anymore. I have been to the hospital and I'm scheduled for a MRI but not until next week.. and the issue is that my foot got swollen now (on the same leg) for no apparent reason. It's been like a sausage for 3 days now and it hurts when I press on top of it. Someone suggested there might be an issue with my tendons, but I don't know.. I'm a bit worried about having to wait until my MRI now.

Anyone got any idea what it might be?
