Dislocated left thumb. Wires inserted. Now in a splint.

do you have a K wire in the thumb? Normally the would put you in a Bennetts plaster cast..wonder why you had a wire ?

  Perhaps because they found arthritis in the joint.said it would help keep it stable while it heals

The Bennetts Plaster would do that support it>> never heard having a K wire in something like a thumb with Arthritis..weird..
