Hi Mike luckily not mine...rather rare here in the UK is a dislocation, I am waiting with baited breath to read some horror stories here, I hope all is well now and you are getting used to another way of living, as I am, both sides done three years in May.

Thank you Ian, I think what you said is very important to get it on with a life that needs to make changes an adaptto situation I am in! You will be OK make sure everything is lifted high enough off the floor before you sit ! No matter how good you feel because you will start feeling very good. You make me feel sorry I’m not from the UK . ... Wish you the best Mike

Mine almost dislocated. I had my restrictions lifted 6 weeks after a hip revision (repair of a previous hip replacement.) I bent down to tie my shoe and I felt some resistance. Luckily I caught it in time. It had started to dislocate and when I stood up it went back in with a metallic "thunk". You are right it does feel/sound like a gearshift. All I can say is I am so sorry this happened to you. For everyone else, please follow the restrictions and even after they are lifted, be VERY CAREFUL and when in doubt, don't do it.

Yes, Even though mine did not come out completely it was quite painful for awhile afterward. I am sure the ligaments stretched a lot for you and the muscles get angry. I hope it gets better soon.

    Yours,

    Chris
