Disseminated Herpes

Hi

I am in desperate need of clarification around the research regarding Disseminated Herpes here in the UK. What started out as genital in my late teens over 13 years ago now appears on my left arm. It has taken a good 3 years to get this viral swabbed and now have a result of HSV-2 on my arm. In America at the John's Hopkins University this is recognised as a serious Immunodeficiency disorder but there is not a lot here in the uk. No GU service in Cornwall will see me because the virus has travelled so it is no longer classed as sexual health. I have been on acyclovir for years but it does nothing. I not only want to raise awareness of this here in the uk but I am also happy to be a case study to prove that the virus can travel even though the Herpes Association UK told me it can't.

Thanks

Mike
