Distal radius fracture

Hi

I had a plate and screws in my wrist after distal radius fracture I have been out of a cast for 3 weeks but my wrist burns at the base of my thumb and I cant bear anything touching my skin as it is so sensitive in that area even my wrist splint rubs there is a small red spot which itches in that area has anyone else had a similar experience and can advise their treatment the burning and sensitivity are hindering my progress at the moment as its never ending

any advice would be welcomed
