Distal radius fracture & k wires

Hi,

I’m looking for some advice. I’m 25 and just recently broke my distal radius and had 2 k wires put in. I’ve never had anything like this this before and I have bad anxiety. I’m just wondering if anyone has had the same symptoms as Me post-op. I had my op 2 weeks ago and this week I’ve had the most strangest feelings in my hand and wrist. Burning, tingling, numbness, full shooting pain (doesn’t hurt) and it feels like my fibreglass cast is pushing on my k wires and that really is uncomfortable. I feel like I have a horrendous scab on my hand and any movement it causes a little zap on my hand/wrist. And I can’t keep my arm in one position as this is all I feel 🙄🙄🙄. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    You should get back to the clinic where the cast was put on. Those sensations you are feeling need some attention. It may be something simple like a new cast but definitely get some advice.

      Thanks marina I’m just a little worried, I’ve left a message with the clinic but not heard anything yet
