Distance vision is poor post cataract surgery (5 days)

Hey,

I had a eyehance edof lens put in my left eye 5 days ago and having it fully for distance, however I am still seeing blurred at vision, around 5-10 metres I can see very well, I don't think this could improve any more to be honest but anything past that I am not seeing well at all to be honest, its just blurry.

My close is not great but this was to be expected and I can see great with some over the counter readers for now.

Is this anything to be worried about? I have heard most people see improvements quite quickly after the surgery, within a few days. Do I just need to give it more time for the distance vision to improve?

It is also worth noting I also have a cataract in my right eye that I am planning to remove soon, this eye is really foggy at the moment, but when covering my left eye is not great at distance still.

I had my left cataract done a few years ago after a torn retina surgery. I purposefully had my IOL put in for intermediate vision because I do computer work and still have many years to work. I find it very beneficial and do not regret the decision. My left eye does most of the work. I don't need glasses to watch tv. I got glasses to fix the distance and the rx is minimal, -.25 . For a while I didn't need them but find them necessary especially for driving - I presume my natural vision is progressively getting worse. I am also presbyopic and need 'readers'. Funny enough, I wear a multifocal contact in the right eye and this equals out both eyes. Distance there is diminished (nature of multifocals) and near needs the same rx for bifocal/reading.

I also want to add that with the IOL its things are brighter and you definitely see the true whites again, like when you're eyes ere young and healthy.
