Diuretics

I was recently diagnosed with Meniere's and put on a diuretic (maxzide).  Two side effects of the drug seem to be an unpleasant metallic taste in the mouth and having to frequently wake up at night to urinate.  Does anyone have advice for dealing with these issues?

    to lessen the night time visits to the bathroom be sure to take the diuretic in the morning when you first awake.  If the bad taste lingers for more than a few days ask your doctor for another med such as dyazide.  GOOD LUCK.

    Have you tried betahistine? I think also the low salt diet is part of the management program for MD.
