Diverticular disease

Hi, i have just been diagnosed with diverticular disease. finally after a few years of feeling not great, bloating, feeling full after eating small meals, stomach pains. i was told by the doctor after my colonoscopy not to read anything on the internet as it is out of date information. i am confused and unsure what to do next, i was sent home with a leaflet. i have taken it upon myself to book an appointment with my general practitioner to discuss further..any help/advice appreciated.

    can i ask so you always get a temperature with your flairs? also what would you describe the pain to be like? i apparently had a flair over a year ago and have had issues ever since. having a colonoscopy next week to see what is going on.
