Diverticulitis again, would like surgery

Some advice please.

I'm living in the UK and suffering this relentless pain, sickness and associated symptoms of diverticulitis.

I would like to have surgery and end this misery once and for all and get some quality of life back.

my question is, what is life like following surgery and are there any good positive outcomes.

As i am living in the UK my only option is NHS and to be considered for this type of surgery i would need to be crawling on my hands and needs dying before a surgeon would even look at me, so i'm going to have to use my savings and pay privately.

You get taken seriously here once money is mentioned. Anyway, can i ask if people in the UK have resorted to private treatment and if so, where did you have the surgery, any recommendations for surgeons. i am considering Kings College London.

Please any advice
